What ingredient is the Radiesse injection made of?
It is a calcium-based collagen stimulator composed of CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite) microparticles (30%) and gel carboxymethylcellulose (70%).
How is it different from a regular hyaluronic acid (HA) filler or Juvelook?
Unlike HA fillers, which simply fill space and attract water, or Juvelook, which contains a synthetic polymer (PLA), Radiesse uses calcium (CaHA), the same component found in human bone and teeth, to naturally form the extracellular matrix (ECM) along with Type I and III collagen and elastin.
What effects (indications) can I expect?
Depending on the dilution ratio, it is excellent for creating natural volume, improving deep wrinkles (nasolabial folds, neck wrinkles), enhancing skin elasticity, strengthening dermal density, and improving skin texture.
When do the results appear after the procedure and how long do they last?
Immediately after injection, the gel component creates an instant sense of volume, and from weeks 4 to 8 collagen forms around the calcium microparticles. There is individual variation, but the results usually last a long time, generally 1 year to 1 year and 6 months or more.
