How Potenza works
It uses the principle of delivering radiofrequency energy to the skin's dermal layer through fine needles (micro-needles) to coagulate tissue. The inserted needles generate an instantaneous radiofrequency in the dermal layer, and where the heat energy is delivered, a coagulation response occurs in the skin cells, helping to relieve redness and improve skin tone.

What exactly is Potenza?
It is an RF microneedling procedure that inserts fine needles (micro-needles) into the dermal layer and then delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy from the needle tips to induce collagen regeneration and improve the skin structure.
What are the main effects (indications)?
It is highly effective for reducing enlarged pores, improving pitted acne scars, improving fine lines and elasticity, relieving redness (flushing), and treating active acne.
How much does the Potenza procedure hurt?
Because the needles pierce the skin, there is a certain amount of pain. However, when anesthetic cream is applied thoroughly for about 30 to 40 minutes before the procedure, it is bearable for most people.
Is it good to combine it with skin boosters such as Juvelook or exosomes?
Yes, it is a very effective combination. When the Potenza pumping tip is used, negative pressure is created as the needle withdraws, so the skin booster agent penetrates deeply into the dermis without loss, maximizing the synergy effect.
How long do the redness, embossing, and scabbing (downtime) last after the procedure?
The redness and burning sensation right after the procedure usually subside within 1 to 3 days. Fine scabs or rough skin texture last about 3 to 7 days, and you should not rub them until they shed naturally.
When do the effects appear and how long do they last?
From 2 to 4 weeks later, as collagen is produced and regenerated, you can noticeably feel improvement in pores and skin texture. When you receive the recommended 3 or more sessions at one-month intervals, the effect lasts 6 months to over a year.
When can I apply makeup, exercise, or wash my face after the procedure?
Washing and makeup: To prevent infection of the injection/needle marks, avoid washing your face on the day and resume gentle washing and makeup from the next day. Sauna/exercise: Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and vigorous exercise that cause sweating and heat for 3 to 7 days.
What is the difference between Potenza and Fraxel laser?
Fraxel is a thermal laser that ablates or stimulates the skin's epidermis, with significant downtime and pain. Potenza, on the other hand, minimizes epidermal damage while delivering energy deep into the dermis through needles, so recovery is much faster.
Are there any cosmetic ingredients to avoid after the Potenza procedure?
Until the needle marks close, you should avoid irritating ingredients such as retinol (vitamin A), acidic exfoliants like AHA/BHA, and high-concentration vitamin C products for at least one week.
Does the skin become dry or flake a lot after the procedure?
As heat energy is delivered, inner dryness or fine flaking may occur for a few days. Applying plenty of moisturizing cream and regenerative cream after the procedure is essential.

- 01There may be some redness and swelling after the procedure, but most disappear within 2 to 3 days.
- 02There may be a sensation of heat after the procedure, and if it occurs at home, care such as ice packs may be needed.
