Ultherapy PRIME
Ultherapy PRIME
Stronger ultrasound lifting
A focused ultrasound (HIFU) lifting treatment with safety proven by US FDA clearance. This next-generation ultrasound lifting delivers energy deep into the SMAS layer to stimulate collagen regeneration and tissue contraction.

Ultherapy PRIME
Ultherapy PRIME's safety is proven by US FDA clearance, and it uses focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology to deliver energy deep into the skin's SMAS layer. You can expect powerful lifting and remodeling effects that stimulate collagen regeneration and tissue contraction.

Principle
From lifting to collagen regeneration with ultrasound energy!
Not surgery, but ultrasound energy that promotes collagen regeneration deep within the skin.
- 01

Skin sagging from aged collagen
Over time, aging of the skin tissue leads to wrinkles and sagging.
- 02

During the Ultherapy treatment
Rather than surgery, the treatment delivers ultrasound energy to promote collagen regeneration deep within the skin.
- 03

Firmer, tighter skin
Results appear gradually, and the improvements continue for several months after the treatment.
Upgrade
The upgraded Ultherapy PRIME, vivid real-time visualization!
Enhanced ultrasound imaging enables even more precise, personalized treatment.

- 01
35% larger screen
The larger screen and enhanced ultrasound imaging enable even more precise, personalized treatment.
- 02
2x larger ultrasound field
The wider ultrasound field lets you view the treatment area more broadly and accurately.
- 03
User-centered interface
An intuitive workflow makes the graphics easy to use, and a lifelike humanoid avatar resembling the actual patient allows real-time confirmation.
- 04
Clear real-time imaging
With stable, clear images free of visual noise (the Snow Effect), you can precisely visualize the ultrasound down to a maximum depth of 8 mm.

FAQ
FAQ
How is it different from the existing Ultherapy?
With a larger 24-inch screen and enhanced ultrasound imaging technology (Ulthera System), skin-layer visualization is faster, and it has the advantages of improved treatment speed and reduced-pain features.
Is the treatment very painful?
Compared with the existing Ultherapy, the stability and speed of energy delivery are improved, somewhat reducing the pain burden, but because heat is delivered to the deep skin layers, an aching pain can still occur, so we combine it with topical anesthesia or sedation anesthesia.
How many shots do I need, and what is the treatment schedule?
It varies depending on individual skin thickness and degree of sagging, but generally we recommend 300–600 shots for the whole face, with a schedule of about once a year.
Is it especially effective for refining the double chin or jawline (contour)?
Because it precisely targets the SMAS layer and the fat layer, it is effective for refining a double chin, a blunted jawline, and sagging jowls.
Are there any hollow-cheek or sunken-cheek side effects?
Incorrectly stimulating the fat layer can cause hollow cheeks, but PRIME performs treatment while precisely checking the skin layers with real-time ultrasound, so when an experienced medical professional performs it, the risk can be greatly reduced.
Can it be performed simultaneously with Thermage FLX, other lasers, or skin boosters?
Yes. Ultherapy PRIME lifts the fascial layer (SMAS) while Thermage fills dermal elasticity, allowing layer-by-layer lifting, so a combined treatment can provide a synergistic effect.
How do I confirm whether genuine tips are used?
Because using recycled tips carries a risk of side effects, before treatment you can confirm the use of a genuine device through genuine-device certification, genuine-tip certification, and the Merz website.
Can I apply makeup, wash my face, or return to daily life right on the treatment day?
Because it is a non-invasive treatment, cleansing and makeup are possible on the same day, but to avoid skin irritation we recommend doing them gently.
My skin is thin and sensitive—will I have any side effects or problems (burns, redness) if I receive the treatment?
Because energy is adjusted while checking skin-layer thickness in real time on screen (Deep SEE™), even sensitive skin can be treated safely.
Instead of the whole face, can I have only a specific area treated, such as around the eyes, nasolabial folds, or neck wrinkles?
Using dedicated tips (1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.5 mm), you can select only your area of concern—such as around the eyes, nasolabial folds, or neck—for partial treatment (e.g., 100–200 shots).
