What is Onda Lifting?
Rather than the radiofrequency or ultrasound mainly used in conventional lifting treatments, Onda Lifting uses microwaves controlled by two patented handpieces to deliver heat only where it is needed. It is a lifting treatment that, over time, helps continuously generate collagen and remove fat cells.

Compared with InMode, Ultherapy, or Shurink, what makes Onda (ONDA) different?
The difference with Onda is that it uses 'microwave' technology rather than ordinary ultrasound or radiofrequency, reducing epidermal damage and intensively delivering thermal energy to the dermis and fat layers.
Is it really painless? Is it a pain-free lifting?
The handpiece itself is equipped with a powerful contact cooling system (Coolwaves™), so the epidermis stays cool. A major feature is that it is nearly painless—treatment is possible even without numbing cream.
Is it really effective for reducing a double chin or jowls (cheek fat)?
Using the 7 mm handpiece, which specializes in fat-cell destruction, it shows excellent results for reducing fat and refining the lines of a double chin and sagging jowls.
I don't have much facial fat—won't Onda cause hollow cheeks or sunken areas as a side effect?
There are two depth-adjustable handpieces (3 mm, 7 mm). If you have little cheek fat, the 3 mm handpiece can focus only on dermal elasticity and collagen regeneration, so treatment can proceed without concern about hollow cheeks—meaning Onda is possible even for those with little facial fat.
When do the effects appear and how long do they last?
Many patients feel immediate tightening right after treatment, and the lifting effect is maximized over 2–4 weeks as fat breakdown and collagen remodeling occur. With 3 or more sessions at 3–4 week intervals, it typically lasts about 6 months to 1 year.
About how many joules (J) is appropriate to receive?
Onda uses the energy unit 'joules (J)' or 'kilojoules (kJ)' rather than 'shots.' It varies depending on the area of concern and face size, but we generally recommend around 60–80 kJ for the whole face.
How much downtime (bruising, swelling, redness) is there after treatment?
Because there is no epidermal damage and the cooling function is excellent, there is almost no bruising or swelling after treatment, so you can immediately return to daily life, wash your face, and apply makeup.
Is it also effective for refining body lines (upper arms, abdomen, thighs, etc.)?
Using the 7 mm handpiece, cellulite improvement and removal of excess flab are possible, so body-line treatment is also possible.
My skin is very thin and prone to redness—won't the treatment be too irritating?
Thanks to the contact cooling that continuously protects the epidermis by keeping it cool, the likelihood of irritation and redness is low, so patients with sensitive or redness-prone skin can also receive treatment comfortably.
Can I get Onda treatment even if I have metal implants or dental braces on my face?
Unlike radiofrequency treatments, it uses microwaves, so there is little risk of the sharp pain or heat-transfer distortion caused by reactions with metal materials, making it relatively safe to receive.
